The Public Good were based out of Washington, DC and started recording at Old House after getting Chris Garges to sub some gigs playing drums with them. Garges eventually joined the band and they began working on a second album, titled "A Varied Program Of Stereo Dynamics For Your Wild Nights Alone." The album was recorded primarily at Old House in Gastonia, but with a few overdubs and a few basic tracks recorded at other locations. "This Is What We Want" was entirely recorded and mixed at Old House.

Old House Studio began in a renovated farm house in Gastonia, NC in 1998. In 2012, Old House relocated to a 2,000 SF commercial facility in Charlotte, NC.
