Our dear friend and long-time client, folk legend Si Kahn, contacted us in January of 2014 wanting to schedule a last-minute session. Old House's Chris Garges had played drums on Kahn's most recent "Bristol Bay" album and was familiar with the Musician's United To Protect Bristol Bay organization and their fantastic cause. On the morning of January 11th, 2014, Kahn wrote "Mushing To Save Bristol Bay" to support Monica Zappa and her team of huskies in the famous Alaskan Iditarod. Within 24 hours, Kahn had written the song and with the help of Garges, Dan Hood, and Daniel Hodges, arranged and recorded the song at Old House in Charlotte in time for a radio interview the next morning!!!!!!
