At 17 years old, Maya Beth Atkins recorded her debut album at Old House Studio with engineer Chris Garges and a cast of Charlotte "all-star" musicians accompanying her original compositions. Basic tracks were recorded live (including most of the lead vocals) with occasional guitar, keyboard, percussion, and vocal overdubs. The daughter of one of the busiest musicians in town (keyboardist Jason Atkins), Maya Beth has been playing gigs in the Charlotte area since the age of 12.
