about

Baltimore-based artist Mark Hopkins traveled to Charlotte as one of the first artists to work in Old House Studio's Charlotte facility. We mixed his excellent album, "Room Service." Hopkins brought tracks recorded in the Baltimore area to Old House to mix. This album features no artificial reverb-- all the reverb you hear (except for guitar amp reverb) is the sound of individual tracks played through speakers into our live room. The drum sounds on this album largely represent what our live room sounds like.
